Universally Accessible Inclusive Design Project Services Assisted Solutions
for greater independence
re-imagining space inside and outside your home and garden and the moments in between

Hello I'm Colin, ecoips co-founder and Design Director.
Most of the homes we live in are not truly accessible or safe enough for someone older or with mobility issues to comfortably live in.
A truly accessible home is a home usable by everyone regardless of their age or abilities without having to rely on others for help and support.
Most people as they grow do not want to move to a different area or move into assisted living, as it can mean losing their social circles, their local GP, and local amenities.
ecoips was founded to provide premium accessible design and project management services to help bridge the gap between a projects design | planning phase and the project procurement | execution phase.
We ensure your home and garden are designed and adapted holistically to evolve with your families needs and wishes.
With over 30 years experience in healthcare, healing spaces and accessible home design we can offer real expertise in universally accessible, viable and sustainable solutions.

The real value of good design
As your needs evolve, your home should too - but it shouldn't lose its soul.
We create sustainable spaces that are elegant, comfortable, safe and fit for purpose, tailored specifically to your family's specific needs.
A contemporary century home needs to be comfortable, safe, sustainable and secure, inside and out.
We create better spaces within your home for greater flexibility and if required multi-generational family living options which are increasingly recognised as a viable alternative.
We can advise on how to significantly increase your homes energy efficiency which can result in significantly reduced running costs and environmental impact.
Making alterations and additions to your homes layout, by incorporating a new extension or garden room can add tremendous value and flexibility to your home.
All uniquely tailored to your family's needs and wishes.
We would be delighted to meet with you in your home to start the conversation

Value in design management
At ecoips, we provide a range of design and project managed services for homeowners.
We handle the technical details, the tradespeople, and the paperwork.
We coordinate with Occupational Therapists to ensure the works planned for your home are correctly aligned with your needs and wishes.
We direct Consultants and Contractors on your behalf to ensure the agreed adaptations, upgrades and additions are just right for you.
Interior comforts
True luxury isn't about gold-plated taps. It's about the quiet confidence of a home that works for you—today, tomorrow, and ten years from now.
We specialise in Universal Design that blends high-end comfort with effortless accessibility.
Our mission is to transform your home into a sanctuary of independence that is inspiring, comfortable, safe and secure for you and your family.
We identify potential hazards (like trip points, slippery or uneven surfaces, restricted access issues, inaccessible storage, poor day-lighting or soundproofing) and solve them with practical and beautiful design solutions.
We can create step free barrier free transitions and many other accessible discrete features for bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and living areas with seamless transitions to outdoor areas.
High-quality dignified age-in-place design is an investment that pays for itself by avoiding the high costs of assisted living.
Accessible Garden spaces
Transform your garden into a barrier-free retreat.
We combine accessible landscape design and garden architecture to create outdoor rooms and spaces that promote greater independence
We incorporate mobility-friendly surfaces, accessible trellises, pergolas and accessible raised planters.
We create accessible spaces for outdoor dining, meditation, little hidden workshops, studios and other magical garden features such as retractable shading and irrigation devices.
This can include creative water features, tactile and sensory planting, outdoor lighting and theatrics with safe high-contrast step free pathways and secluded rest areas.
Other options can include accessible hydroponic beds and rotatable aeroponic mini towers in thermally efficient accessible greenhouses and grow rooms - where agri-tech meets universal design.
